‘This Land is Your Land’ seeks to challenge the prevailing depiction of the Arab and South Asian diaspora in the mainstream media.  Mass imagery and reporting over the last few decades has led to a marginalisation of whole communities in the collective global conscience.

The conflation of Islam and Islamic culture with subversion of western values, global violence and threat over recent history has resulted in a divisive narrative, leading many generations of Muslims to struggle with their personal identity and assimilation into society.  In this series I look at various cultural iconography to highlight the issues.
