My work explores the subject of loss and of how I and those close to me dealt with overcoming it.  Through this series I hope to create a new narrative on normalising sadness and instead of denying it we should honour it as hard as that may be.   Each image reveals familiar details that represent underlying issues of desperation, avoidance and stigma but also shine a light on the hopefulness in each of us to battle through our struggles.  Each image is a lone individual, coping in isolation, but that doesn’t need to be the case, that loss can be dealt with openly and collectively if we allow ourselves to be vulnerable.
